Please join members of the Business Economics Committee to hear a briefing by Nalin Chutchotitham, Chief Economist for Thailand and the Philippines. Nalin will delve into the significant challenges and risks confronting the Thai economy over the medium term, encompassing both domestic and external factors.
Drawing upon Citibank's extensive research and data, Nalin will provide an update on recent economic activities in Thailand and offer insights into the anticipated monetary and fiscal policies in the coming quarters. Within this framework, she will also present Thailand's economic expectations and forecasts, providing valuable perspectives on the nation's economic trajectory.
Our Speaker:
Nalin Chutchotitham is a Director and the Thailand and Philippines Economist with Citi Research, based in Bangkok. Prior to joining Citi in 2017, Nalin was the lead economist for Thailand at HSBC. In the early part of her career, Nalin developed her understanding of the Thai economy and monetary policy as an economist at the Bank of Thailand during 2006-2007. She also has experiences in the THB FX and fixed income market, having been a senior research specialist at Kasikornbank from 2009 to 2014.
Nalin received her M.A. in Economics from Duke University, NC, U.S.A. in 2008. She has a B.A. in Economics (first class honours) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
