About our speakers:
Mr. Joost Siteur is the Investment Mobilization Lead for the USAID Clean Power Asia program. He has 20 years of experience in renewable energy, of which 18 in Southeast Asia, with a focus on investment and finance. His experience covers market analysis, due diligence, asset management, financial structuring, technology review, and business plan development. He has advised and conducted capacity building for developers, investors, and financial institutions on renewable energy investment opportunities, and holds a master?s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Twente, Netherlands.
Mr. Thanawat Keereepart is a Renewable Energy Policy Expert for USAID Clean Power Asia program. He has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector in Southeast Asia. His experience includes business development, portfolio management, policy development and implementation, and technical analysis. He also held various positions with EGAT International Company Limited, including Assistant Vice President ? Portfolio Management Department. Thanawat completed a BS in Electrical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and a MS in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.
The USAID Clean Power Asia program collaborates with diverse stakeholders, partners and regional organizations in Lower Mekong countries and shares lessons learned and best practices among additional ASEAN countries. The goal of the program is to accelerate the regional transition to a high performing, low carbon power sector, and is being accomplished through four areas: (1) Improving Power Sector Planning; (2) Fostering Supportive Policy Frameworks (3) Mobilizing Finance and Investment, and (4) Promoting Enhanced Regional Collaboration.
