Chevron is a global energy company. We have had operations in Thailand since 1948 and have maintained a consistent corporate brand presence ever since. Through our subsidiary Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., we have played a leading role in pioneering and developing the Thai exploration and production industry for over six decades. We introduced technologies suitable for the complex geology of Thailand and laid the early foundations for the nation’s E&P industry by developing the knowledge and skills of the Thai workforce. 

Since 1962, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. has operated in Thailand with systematic management of safety, health and environment, reliability and efficiency to achieve world-class performance. In 1981, eight years after the discovery of the first commercial natural gas field in the Gulf of Thailand, Chevron's Erawan Field began production. Since then, natural gas has become a major source of energy for electricity generation in Thailand, and it also led to the development of the country's petrochemical industry.

Chevron (Thailand) Limited, a subsidiary wholly owned by Chevron has been serving customers in Thailand for more than 7 decades under the Caltex brand.

The lubricants supply chain in Thailand is also one of Chevron’s seven production and export hubs for lubricating oil and grease, selling products under the Caltex brand to more than 23 countries. The company markets and distributes an extensive range of quality lubricants to serve the needs of commercial, consumer, and industrial customers, namely, Delo products for diesel vehicles, Havoline products for petrol vehicles and lubricant products for commercial industries.

In January 2024, Star Fuels Marketing Limited (SFL), a subsidiary of Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) and the exclusive licensee of Caltex fuels in Thailand completed a transaction with Chevron Asia Pacific Holdings Limited (CAPHL) to acquire the Caltex-branded fuels marketing business in Thailand.
