Incorporated in 1974, Thai Rayon Plc. is the pioneer and sole manufacturer in Thailand of Viscose Staple Fiber (VSF) - a man-made cellulosic Fiber from Nature. Thai Rayon has a production capacity of 151,000 MT of Viscose Staple Fiber at its plant in Angthong province in Central Thailand. It serves the Thai and global textile industry with a wide range of high quality Viscose Staple Fiber and technical services to the entire textile value chain. It exports ~ 85% of its total production to over 35 countries over six continents. Thai Rayon is a member of the 100-year old Aditya Birla Group - the first multinational corporation from India with revenue of U.S. $43 billion from operations in 35 countries and powered by 120,000 employees of 42 nationalities. Aditya Birla Group is the world's largest producer of VSF.

Thai Rayon has been listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand since 1984. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited, Thai Rayon was the recipient of the TPM Excellence Award from JIPM in 2005 and the 'Best Employer in Thailand' Award by Hewitt Associates in 2007.
